Bishops
Episcopal?
Episcopal is the New Testament word for 'Oversight', bishop, or the central leader of the Church. These were men appointed by the Apostles to lead the people of God in a specific geographic area. In Anglicanism the ordination of bishops is a direct handing down of the Gospel faith and practice which can be traced back to the Apostles. Our bishop ordains and appoints leaders for local congregations who carry out the ministry and mission of the Church.
